The Distance Of A Star

Location

I found here in crystal vision and slick passage,

A distance rivaled in reach for the stars,

Should our sun envy the grasp on these wonders,

Should we ever shine over from afar?

I have no answer yet, not beheld in our glare,

For I have you maiden, brilliant and fair,

Where I failed in myself, I found dreary steeps,

Into thick falls so despairingly deep,

My hands open for tested roads and ravaged paths,

I woke to bitter nightmares from little sleep,

But how time counted, measured pain into the cusp,

To when I found you, and I hailed no dusk,

At every step I still endured, I remain in broad day,

Felt never cold, even turned from the light,

While the earth sprouted spring then, basking in glow,

You tend her song dear, whistle her delight,

And for every whisk of cool breeze I had to draw nearer,

As to hug to your voice, as my soul sung clearer,

Every word I wrote now, and spoke in sound mind,

Raised to the heavens, to reach the divine,

I await anxiously here now, my letter I sent to you,

If it cannot reach, I fear no courier should too,

But if this comes to you, your light has traveled far,

This is devoted to you, celestial, beloved star
