Discovering I

When I’m alone In this bed,
where we always lay,
I get engulfed,
and find you all over again.

 Dancing, twirling around
My nose, kissing it
The way you do.
I feel your hot breath,
The mint smell warming me
With a cooling rush.

Here, in my bed,
Is where I find you.
Your scent, your eyelashes,
Your wide bright eyes
And crazy laugh.

I find you all over again
Just like the way you did,
The way you found me

Me. It's simple,
You helped me find
All that I needed

What I thought, was You.
You is not me, me is
Who I need

With out these lungs
I am lost, deserted
Without these legs
I am stranded

Without this smile
I am not home
Without this body
I am not here.

What I need is this,
all of it. The too
big eyes, the legs
that don't go on for days

The love that grows inside
my ribs, and the flowers
that bloom with every heartbeat

You help me find my
need, the need of me.
