Did You Mean It When You Said To "Follow Your Heart"?

Is it so bad,

That I have fallen for a man,

Who doesn't make me sad,

And cheers me up the best he can.

Is it so terrible,

That he is only a few years older,

But our age difference is unbearable,

And the law couldn't be much colder.

Is it so despised,

That I may lose my world,

And some may even call me unwise,

And even say I'm just a little girl.

Is it wrong for me to be happy,

To love someone even though they aren't ideal,

The whole idea is crappy,

For someone to tell me how I should and shouldn't feel.

Is it any different,

From our mother's and father's day,

But you never truely understood what I meant,

You only see it your way.

Is it really me being naiive,

Or is it me following my heart,

Cause for him I will never leave,

Only in death shall we part.
