Diary of An External Being

Without you a person like me can’t be

Without you there is no me

Without you the stars don’t align

Without you there’s no cloudy skies

Exactly what would I do if it wasn’t for you

I wouldn’t be me and I couldn’t see

See all that you have planned for me

Care, provide, comfort and more

You do a lot for a God who sits high and looks low

You reassure that although the struggles may form

You’ll grab my hand with every step letting me know

That no matter what I do, how many mistakes I make

You’ll be there every step of the way

Giving me chance after chance

You are the one with the unchanging hand

Even though at times I don’t understand

How you could manage to love me like you can

But you said you made me in your image

And you know me more than I know myself

You would never put more on me than I can bare

You’ll never set me up to fail

And for these reasons I need you more than ever

I need you to stay and keep me away

Away from the evil winds that make me shake

Keep me from the dangers of the world

I need you to mold me into an image like yourself

I need you to love me more than my mother can

Love me so much that even the most intellectual

Couldn’t  understand

I need you to comfort me when I cry at night

Because my mind seeks to destroy my heart

I need you because you keep me sane

When this dark evil world gets insane

I need you to wrap me in your arms

When this black hole we live in sets tactics to harm

I need you and will do anything to have you
