Diamond in the Rough

Lost in a daydream... Everything seems possible. You can be what you want to be, Say what you want to say, And easily change what you want If it isn't exactly going your way. Reality is the other of that free spirit. Reality doesn't give you the wide margin you crave. Reality is the tough love that doesn't make things happen simply because you want it to. Life is, in essence, a mix between the two. Remember when you were a little kid? Ready for the world and whatever it threw at you? You had big dreams.. Huge plans for your life.. Frivolous ideas like being a ninja, a fairy, Even the President of the United States at some point. As you grow up, daydreams and impossible dreams start to fade.. Get weaker as reality pushes to the forefront. Responsibility grabs ahold of the untamed wildfire.. It can no longer crackle and hiss at anything it pleases, spare anything it chooses to. Real goals and accomplishable dreams settle themselves in the path of Others long forgotten.. And that wildfire diminishes into a tamed campfire, Serving a real purpose in the world..
