Desert life, Deserted Life

The bee sipped the nectar

Off of the flower’s

Spring embellishment

The wind sang poetry

Carried it’s rhyme to

The brinks of my heart

While, Sand split the howling

Earth, which buckled under

My tousled knees

Life was abundant

Even within the realms

Of my small little world

The air lifted the blues

From my smithereening heart

Which had poured buckets

Of black coffee through me.

Living was not easy.

Nothing was the same anymore
No more storm, no more hurdle,
Just a passing of time, divine

But after years

Of pitiful, painful song

Every tear that carried me

Frequently along the

Journey that had me

Stirring in throngs

Of monsters carrying me

To unknown directions

Today I have finally found

My one inspiration

That day the Desert  Sang me lullabies
