Depression

Sitting in a crowded room
With nothing more than an empty heart
And with my eyes I see a smile
Not for me but at the tile
No one looks into eyes
For they're too scared to be surprised
Change is too much to bear
So many people avoid the scare
I assume its better to be more
Happy and goofy
Than I am usually
I notice the person near the front
Looks my way but doesn't stunt
Too many smiles but none for me
I see a hole and its meant to be
I take a breath and dive on in
Nobody knows
Depression wins
