not a sexualized being but

an artist

with expression that runs

deeper than lust,

not as simply a black girl

but a woman

rich with history

with soul

a spiritual being

versed in the grace of God

an evolutionist, one that doesn’t just

play the rules of society

but changes it.

I am beyond sight,

the walls of the mind,

the barrier of language.

I am deep.

Deeper than oil wells

pumping rich gold.
