Death Shrug

No need to mourn what is complete

A sleeping man can not put up a fight

I make a point to choose not what I seek

Maybe if I pester an angel sweet

She’ll roll her eyes and teach me how to fly

No need to mourn what is complete

Perhaps the devil is good company

He’ll laugh and tell me “Well at least you tried”

I make a point to choose not what I seek

Maybe the sun my soul is bound to meet

And upon your faces I will shine my light

No need to mourn what is complete

Perhaps the earth makes my heart a willow tree

I’ll feel the ground so green, the clouds so white

I make a point to choose not what I seek

If in the end no encore comes to me

I simply live one life until I die

No need to mourn what is complete

I make a point to choose not what I seek.
