The flowers whimpered as the cold moved in
The trees would soon be bare
The happiness of fall began to thin
Death could be felt in the air

The sky soon became very dark
As did my brother’s life
It felt so cold and stark
For he had just lost his wife

The grass became short and brown
Many can hear it cry
The trees almost seemed to frown
Everything just wanted to die

My brother began to bawl
For his wife had to disappear
The snow will soon start to fall
Hopefully spring will soon be here
