Dear Tomorrow

Dear tomorrow,

You have always been there,

waiting at the end of the tunnel

coming silently in the night and then passing

so suddenly and without a thought.

I would like to apologize,

for I have been unfair

in using your certainty as an excuse

to avoid my own responsibilities.

Sincerely,

Today
