Dear Teacher

Location

Dear Teacher,

I know you'll say I’m being disrespectful

That talking back is not expectable

But I’m pleading with you know to listen

I'm the girl in the back that doesn't say a word

The one that even when speaking is never heard

You ask why I don't get the subject

But if you do nothing to teach me then  i can't help it

If I ask a question you snub it

I have stayed quiet for too long you see

This is my complaint to you

Giving me a packet and saying fill it is not the right way to teach

You must teach us the work to understand it

Don't tell me to look in books that have not been replaced since my mom was in school

I am willing to learn if you put the effort

Don’t assume that I am a lost cause

Because I’m not
