Dear Sky
Dear Sky,
Thank you for housing the clouds that I dream on and the stars that gleam on.
Thank you for reminding me of the infinity of color and making the day seem fuller.
Thank you for helping the groggy mornings be brighter and the sleepless nights be calmer.
Thank you for mesmerizing me, inspiring me, enchanting me, and being free.
Thank you for showing me where, one day, I could be.
I’m sorry for the Californian embers, the overseas threateners, and the darkening Decembers.
But you’ve been strong. Just for us.
I hope that we’re enough.
Sincerely,
Deyana
