Dear Momma
Dear Momma,
I if I never live to see you again I hope I made you proud.
Im afraid that while walking to the train I could be shot down.
We're being treated like wild animal just because the color of our skin is brown.
On top of that we're killing each other
Everyday another on of my brothers is laying on the ground.
I'll never understand how we went from wear crown to acting like clowns
but I guess you can't know everything right?
I'm afraid that one day I'll never be able to see your face again.
I'll be six feet under with other kids who died to young.
Gone to soon.
R.I.P Javon I'll see you soon.
I hate to have to think this way but the world gives me no choice.
I don't plan on dying tomorrow, but unfortunately that's not my decision.
If I ever disappointed you I hope that I'm forgiven.
and dear momma, I hope I can make you proud despte the world we live in.
Sincerely, Lexi
