Dear Ignorance;

You spread your words of wisdom,

But they don’t set me free,

The Kids are not alright,

As if they'd ever be.

In this day and age,

We all can see,

Everywhere you look,

Inequality.

You spread your words of wisdom,

Outdated and belated,

That person you never knew,

Berated and hated.

Though we all move forward,

You are never sated,

Everywhere you look,

The world is isolated.

You spread your words of wisdom,

As if they’ll never die,

Those views you hold so dear,

Would make your grandkids cry.

All the world can’t change your mind,

But just an F.Y.I.,

Everywhere you look,

We’re still all getting by.
