Dear Future Self

Dear Future Self,

You already know how I’m feeling.

You already know what I’m thinking.

You already know what I’m doing.

You already know what I’m saying.

You know more about me that I haven’t learned yet, and still you don’t know much about yourself either.

You look at me as an example of what to do and what not to do.

You have a vivid image of me.

I look to you as a goal in life, but yet my image of you is created in my present mind.

I am your beginning, and you are my end point.

I sit here and struggle of what decision to make, or what the outcome will be.

You sit there and smile because you already know what’s going to happen.

I sit here and wonder what my life is going to be like when I reach you, but you sit there and remember what your life was like when you were me.

I hope when you look at me I make you proud, and I know when I see you I’ll be proud.

Your Past Self,

Analicia
