                                                    Dear, Brother

Oh, look you sad this morn.

When did you lose your smile along the line?

Your long awaited baby hath been born so,

      dearest brother of mine.

Forgive me fair brother this day.

I long for mine wife whom in labor, passed away.

      Without her I am hollow.

My long awaited baby will have mine sorrow.

Oh, look you sad this morn.

Yes, your wife hath gone to bed,

still your long awaited baby hath been born.

Let apon your bussom, rest thy little head.

Forgive me fair brother this day.

All mine heart I gave mine wife, no love,

for mine heart I gave way.

To bed she took with her, mine heart, apon yesturday.
