Dead Silence
I lay in bed so still staring at the ceiling.
The silence loudly fills the room with emptiness
I was not used to it; I was not used to this place.
Night fell and morning rose that's when I knew
oh did I know I could not move on
How could I for I had just lost my sanity.
All I could think was the things we used to do.
You were the one who was supposed to stay
You were the one to stick by my side.
You were the one I counted on and you just left
right in the midst of things. We were just starting
I know you didn’t mean to, but you did
You were my person, my right hand
The hand that knew the left hand front to back.
My frustration built a wall keeping my isolated.
Night fell once again and i could no longer breathe
I refused to. I refused to live. I refused to move on.
How could I for I had just lost my best friend.
