"Daydreaming With You"

The sunlight peaked through the blinds

almost as if asking our permission

Gently waking us from a deep, needed slumber

You rolled over, I followed...in a tumble

desperate to cling to your warmth beneath our sheets

as you hit the alarm clock...

snoozing until we were ready to wipe sleep

from the coeners of well rested eyes

With my head on your chest, I concentrated

taking the time to trace every goosebump on your skin

counting and committing to memory the fine hairs on yoyr chest

Eventually we'll rise from our sacred place

And it will be this that I'll miss
