The day everything changed

It was a hot September day and the sun was shining
That field should have been warm and inviting
Instead it was the place you beat me
It was the place that you raped me

The wind whispered in the trees
I could hear the buzzing of the bees
The day you hurt me
The day you broke me

I should have been hanging out with my friends
Enjoying the sun before summers end
Instead I was there with you
And what you made me do

After you had finally finished with me
I was left alone and full of shame
The word going round and round was WHY?
And for a really long time I wished I would die

This poem is about:
Me
