Day Break

Though the waters

Thereof roar

And be troubled

And there are

Rain droplets

The size of quarters

The eagles soar

And the beauty of the

Sky is doubled.

Though the mountains

Shake with the

swelling therof, She stands

In the midst of it all

With her head

 Held high

And her hands

Pointed towards

The majestic sky.

The sea roars.

Its loud cries

Drown out the

Sound of the

Rain pours.

She intently

Listens to the

Mountain's sighs

As the great forces

Of the earth

Clash and fight

In a war

That seemsto

Never end.

She stands

Upright

And doesn't

Lose sight

Of the amazing hues

Of the celestial

Orange, pinks,

And blues.

For a

Shear veil hides

The figure in a

Protective covering.

Strength and honor

Are her clothing.

Wisdom overflows

From her head

To her toes.

As if drawn

By an imaginary

Attraction,

The fingers of darkness

Reach its tendril-like

Fingers towards the

Soft-buttery light.

A mysterious,

Black covering slowly

Covers the foundation

Of the earth.

Night succeeds,

Overcoming the light.

Yet, she stands.

 Her posture

Is straight and

 Unwavering

As a pole

Surrounded in light

After night has fallen.

She waits.

And waits.

Until the day breaks,

And the shadows

Flee away.

Until the shivers of

The mountains cease.

Until the sea has lost

Its anger

And the rain

Becomes a

Beautiful musical array

Of B flats,

A's and G's

Until the war ends.

Destined to hold out

Until the sound

Of the lark

Signals the waking

Of light

Once again,

Holding courage,

Strength,

And determination

In her hands.

It all sits

In the palms

Of her rough,

Calloused hands,

Pointing towards

The sky.

The power of healing,

Compassion, understanding,

The ability to be,

To do.

It was all ther...

With a single touch

Achild can be healed

And released

From the storm.

With a single solution,

A man can end

His suffering,

Erase the roar

Of the sea,

The shivering

Of the mountains.

With theses gifts,

She could perform

Her destined job...

The job that could

Change her life...

And those around her...
