David Patrick Schreiber

Paralyzing anxieties

Playing tricks on me

Living in dream reality

With you I cannot be

Missing your breath upon my neck

The way you sang our song to me

Living in turmoil & wreck

Your face is all I want to see

Your lips upon mine

Your hand upon my back

I simply cannot stop crying

My days are all black

Cutting, praying let me go

Wondering astray

Please make it so

Take my pain away

Crippling fears

Sounding alarms

Stinging, constant tears

Yearning for your charms

Your scent is gone

Nothing of your remains

Except the blood I have drawn

My heart shackled in your chains

I must let you go

Before I cease to exist

But what I truly know

You’re the only one who will be missed
