Darkness Falls...

Darkness falls,
Around my head.
It's in my house.
Above my bed.
A scream rings out,
But it's not heard.
I never should have
Spoken a word.
But now, it knows,
And I am doomed.
This house will now,
Become my tomb.
Fear rips through
My heart; So cold.
It's teeth appear,
It's eyes, white-gold.
My skin tears open,
From it's sharp glare.
I feel it's claws,
Pulling through my hair.
It won't be long,
Before I get boring.
He'll leave me here,
My blood, still pouring.
A relieved sigh,
Escaped my lips.
As sunlight reached,
My fingertips.
The sun was up.
I'm safe for today.
I know, for twelve hours,
I'll be ok.
But tomorrow night,
I'll crawl into bed.
And darkness will fall,
Around my head.
