Dance

It’s been a long day, and I need to relax.
My head is pounding, and all I want to do is scream.
I’m too stressed out, and let’s face the facts,
I just need to move, to dance, to let off some steam.
I turn on the music, loud, and fast.
I begin to move, feet like lightning across the floor.
Dancing takes my mind off of everything, putting it all in the past.
Nothing to think about except the music, the movements are emotion, poured out onto the floor.
It only lasts the length of the song, just for a minute,
But I feel so much better, because dance is infinite.
