Daedalus and Icarus

My son is the love of my life

More love than love itself can fathom

It's the kind of love that makes you want to absorb it all, keep it inside of you

Wheedle their way into your heart and live within the strings

But they grow up

And they pursue outside of those strings

They make friends

And get invited to parties

They drive home with their friends

But never make it back

Because my son was flying too close to the sun
