Crying Out For Justice

Location

My heart is heavy, and my eyes weep, as I watch my people beaten in the streets. Knees on our necks we can't take it no more, but all they say is "Just comply" as we hit the floor.  Our skin is a target for their hate, their injustice system, It's just too late. They overlook our cries, our pain, and our pleas, as they beat us down, they have no mercy. Injustice has us tired and numb, as we fight for justice to be shunned. It's like they only see color, not a soul inside, and every time they beat us down, another piece of us dies. We CAN'T BREATHE, we CAN'T TAKE NO MORE, but we'll keep fighting knocking down their door. They tell us "Just stay calm" but they don't understand, that they've taken away our dignity and they've stripped away our land. Black lives matter, yes that's true, and we'll keep on fighting until they do too. Our voices will speak, our pain they'll feel, and soon they will see that our fight is real.
