Crooked Smile

My hair does not flow down the length of my back

My nose is straight and wide, my bottom lip fat

My eyes are coffee brown, my nail polish chipped

No, I don’t wear a D cup or have big, full hips

But the rare times I smile they say its quite pretty

I deny their compliments. They retort, “What a pity”

“Girl, you should know you’re beautiful regardless.”

“Baby, you should know your flaws make you flawless”
