A Crisp Season

There’s just something about the air,
Not exactly warm, but not freezing either.
It reminds me of the crispiness of an apple
And the season itself.
Autumn leaves on the side of a mountain
Almost always capture my undivided attention.
The beauty of the oranges, crimsons, and golds,
Flowing together harmoniously takes my breath away.
The perfect time for sweaters and scarves,
Boots, and cute hats.
A shift to warmer colors and clothes,
Mark the beginning of a cooling temperature.
And towards the end, those leaves will fall,
They will dry up and crunch in their piles.
Just like an apple will crunch,
With all it’s crispiness.
