To the Creatures Who Walk in Dreams

To the night terrors

To the things that speak without voices

To that which I am protected from only by waking confusion,

I know your faces, but not your names

I see you look upon me in the blank spaces of my waking eyes

I know you

You know me

We are the same as one another

For you are the parts of me that I

do not wish to

become, do not wish to

indulge, do not wish to

acknowledge

There is nothing there in the dark

That is not their in the light.

It is with myself I fight.
