Creator's Guilt

the idea still fresh in his mind

he turns a new page

and starts a new line

her smile fades as the ink sets in

her life was a lie

her existance paper thin

he strung from his seat as the book came alive

the girl from his dreams had tears in her eyes

she looked at him and he suddenly knew

everything he had put her through

the lies, the tears, and the words in her mouth

he felt every ounce of betrayal she had felt

her world in shambles and he to blame

he knew their lives would never be the same

he sscreamed as he awoke in a pool of sweat

it was just a dream but he wouldnt forget

he lit a matchand watched as the book went aflame

he never wanted her to feel so helpless again
