Is Creativity a Sin?
Ever had a book, a show, anything you were interested in
That you loved so much but when you get older others treat it like a sin
Cause its for children and you have grow up
But you don't wanna ditch something over the years you've come to love
The happy faces, skits that gave you a smile on your face
The admirable and awesome characters you don't want time and age to erase
That taught you like your parents and friends equally
Made you became who you are but others don't come to see
The benefit behind tracing back the steps to your childhood
They just don't know the honest truth
They don't care nor want to realize it
And sometimes just because of that you just can't fit in
But there always are those who have seen and loved the same thing
They know the influence and know how you think
Don't be the type who changes their interest because of others
If it doesn't lead to your demise than don't listen your mother's
You fathers or sisters or brothers
Because they don't know
That cartoon or book has much more to show
It's a memory a world that we come venture
A brilliant mind of another is at its center
It has a purpose beyond those pages and colorful landscapes
It's only for us as the audience to figure out and contemplate
It's made for all groups young and old
It's the product of a story a creator will like to be told
Not matter if it's demigod fighting monsters
Or twin siblings trying solve mysteries they discover
Each story has a purpose and a deeper meaning behind it
Being part of a fandom is not a sin
The people behind the fandom comes from all sorts of lives
Fanfiction, fanart, or even Oc's are not a waste of time
It shows their influence
It lets our inner creativity commence
Lessons we've learned from fandoms and fellow fans
We know others with similar interests and others can understand
Haters and non believers may never know
The beauty behind fandoms that we have seen them show
