Create your own masterpiece

To create a masterpiece means creating something that no one else has done.

To create a masterpiece is to create something that people are afraid to create

. It seems that lately, though, the whole world's afraid to create a masterpiece because there are people telling us to stop being creative and start being realistic

"Kevin! Stop drawing in your notebook and take notes!" "Please stop singing, you're distracting the class." "College is coming soon, you have no time to be dancing.” “You’ll never get anywhere with those silly little poems.” These are things we are constantly being told by those that educate us.

We are the future leaders of America, we can't use our own imagination to make a difference in the world; we have to follow the steps that the people before us took. No room to make mistakes.

Our teachers and parents put so much pressure on us to be perfect, but what they fail to realize is that to create art from one's flaws is perfection.

Everyone has different ideas that they want to contribute to the world. That doesn't mean that they're a mistake.

Teachers should stop trying to tell us the way all things should be done and let us use our imagination to make the world a masterpiece.

So when a teacher tells you

"Kevin! Stop drawing in your notebook and take notes!" "Please stop singing, you're distracting the class." "College is coming soon, you have no time to be dancing.” “You’ll never get anywhere with those silly little poems.”

Tell them what Einstein said, “I am enough of an artist to draw freely upon my imagination. Imagination is more important than knowledge. Knowledge is limited. Imagination encircles the world.” (Albert Einstein).
