Cream of the crop ... satire

Proverbs 23:33-34 33 Your eyes will see strange things,
and your mind will speak perverse things.

34 And you will be like one who lies down in the midst of the sea,
and like one who lies down on the top of the rigging.
 Cream … intoxicated with self

If it is the cream you want ... the cream of the crop

look just for the silent ones ... who are not reaching for the top

The ones who are nobody's fool and attentive all the time

who do not blabber on and on ... but go that extra mile

It seems so that the opposites ... are successful all the time.

The ones who praise themselves ... who are believing their own line

The ones, who think the greatest thing that happened on this earth

was people standing in great awe ... at the event of their birth

When looking in the mirror ... the only thing they see

is fame, fortune and satisfaction for they're better than you and me

So let them have their place at the top ... until they self destroy

then the quiet and cream of the crop ... will still have their employ.

They will get a mop and clean to the bone the mess that the top has made

and then to become a stepping stone ... for the next who is self-made
