Like Crazy

Sometimes it's hard to understand it all:

when the lines are smudged and unclear

and the time that we spend together is not very tall,

than when I blink, you suddenly disappear.

I thought I understood it- this,

all the cuts and breaks inbetween the solid line

jagged, causing my patience to twist,

but in timw it would get cut off by the twine.

Then, the sea keeping us apart came to a close,

so I found in my heart that I must go.

The water was still running when I left you staring at your toes,

because after so much time and space, our love had taken a blow.

I will never grasp the concept; I must lay it be,

I thought I understoof it: the idea of you and me.
