Cracks of Light

Some born with a god complex

Watch as I demonize myself

Praise shatters the walls I’ve built so high I have to climb to see the outside world

Bricks composed of who I should be, who I’m not, who my mind tells me I’ll never be

My broken tale scrawled across these bricks

They keep safe in hatred, self destruction is my home

The darkness covers me like blankets

And this life is all I know

Sad to say home is wearing not as strong as it used to be

Cause three small words just caused the north wall to crack

“You’re the greatest” uttered with such certainty
