The Corruption

So precious; so useless;
this Tree of Virtues has perished
amidst my angry tempest,
laid to waste by carnal desire.

I’ve realized many moons ago,
that brutality and lust are the same
as we delighted in the tremulous
movements of the frightened!

Diabolical wraiths extol our
actions; haughty arrogance
drove our delusion; frantic,
unhinged with such obscenities!

The Tree of Vices flourishes
in the roots of our blood.
We awaken as the new fallen,
and occupy lesser thrones in hell.
