contradictions

When we were in the third grade, Teacher told us

"Everybody is Unique."

When we were in high school, Standardized test scores

Ruled our college admission

and our yearly tuition.

When we were in college, people told us

"This is a time to find out

who You were really meant to be."

When we got to the "real world," Society said

You're gay,

You're fat,

You're skinny,

You're poor,

You're snobby,

You're awkward,

You're weird,

You can't be You.

Can someone please tell me

what (the fuck) I'm supposed to do?
