A Constant State of Confusion

When the world keeps rolling

and the days keep coming

and your routine stays the same,

but the challenges persist

and you're lacking courage

and you're only just starting the game,

you don't know what to do

and you're struggling to move

and you just can't get away.

You want it to be different

and you know you're missing something

but you don't know what to change.

What do you do

in a constant state of confusion?

Then the floods start coming

and the rain keeps pounding

and you're can't find any shade.

The towers crumble

and the moutains seem to grow

but you can't see anything.

You just hear it all fall down

and you duck to the ground

and you'll hold onto anything,

but there's nothing to grasp

and the oxygen won't last

and you can't get out of this place.

What do you do

in a constant state of confusion?

You just want to go home

and you glance up hoping

that someone will be there to save

your helpless soul

from the depths of the unknown

and for a second you think you'll be okay.

You see a bright light

and a figure in white

and you think you're getting out of this maze.

Then you open your eyes,

and it's the middle of the night.

You're in bed, and you realize it's okay.

But you're still

in a constant state of confusion.

Then the very next day

when you think it's all okay

and you believe it was all a dream.

You realize that's not true,

and you notice that you

are living out your dream every day,

because the world keeps turning

and the days keep coming

and your routine stays the same.

You want it to be different

and you know you're missing something

but you don't know what to change.

Will you stay

in a constant state of confusion?

Or will you change,

so your story has a better conclusion?

Find some way

to reach some form of resolution?

Instead of stay

in a constant state of confusion?
