Confounding Tides of Thought

I hoped for some relief, to satiate my churning mind, some confidante to listen to me, but alas I have no patient god, must I study every reaction, translate the thoughts of others through an opaque veil, if no one is here to see my glory, am I another ant underfoot, I suppose hopes have faded softly away like ocean foam, am I to forget my aspirations, or regret that I never did
