Conflicted

Don't be silent. They will think you are snobby.

But don't talk. They will find you irritating.

Don't walk slowly. They will race to get away from you.

But don't walk quickly. They will think you are "special".

Don't be lazy. They make fun of you for being fat.

But don't go to the gym. They will laugh at you for even trying.

Don't raise your hand in class. They will think you are trying too hard.

But don't avoid answering questions. They will think you are stupid.

Keep your head down when you walk by people.

But smile, so they don't think you are rude.

Suppress your urge to sneeze or cough.

You will draw attention.

You draw attention by just being you.

Don't think you are worth anything to anyone.

But don't think you can just go away. You're still a backup

for when someone else isn't available.

Love,

Anxiety
