Color Blind

Mon, 06/15/2015 - 23:25 -- bweezy
In a world where we don't see color
We are all one race, we are all one culture,
We are all one face

I wish I lived in a world where we were all color blind

In this world-

Some people speak differently
Some people feel differently
Some people sound differently

And that's just how it is

Scientists rack their brains as to why some people sunburn easily than others

Some people just happen to like fried chicken and some people just happen to like Macaroni and cheese

Jobs are given to those that deserve them and wages are based on performance and experience.

Cops arrest only those that break the law.

Music, food, love, hate, design, is all a case by case basis. It is not pre disposed, it is not stereotyped.

People are judged by their character, no one is raised to fear, no one is raised to hate.

There is no fight over a superior race. Ever.

We are all born to love.

In a world where we see no color-
We are all brothers
We are all sisters

That is a world I want to live in.
This poem is about:
Me
My community
My country
Our world
