College

High schools ends college begins, are you ready?

Well that depends

Have you chosen where to go, what to study

Maybe something close to your friends?

Do you have money for dorms, food, and rent

Will the application relent?

In a place where you feel like a kid but have to be grown

Starting to branch out on your own.

Parents want you to stay because you’re there little girl

You have so much to consider, that you want to hurl

You stress and stress until you're overwhelmed

You’ve never been on your own, what does in entail?

You debate going, you can stay where it’s safe and known

Mom calms your nerves, helps you realise your potential

You feel at ease and stop going mental.

College is an adventure, a new chapter in your book

Your strong, brave and smart  and that’s all it ever took.

Four years from now you’ll graduate with new experiences and friends

As one chapter ends, a new one begins.
