The Closing Door

Sitting down alone
Just contemplating the day
What is this pain in my bone
Is it the pain of my dreams fading away

Or is the dreams of others clouding my sight
Saying go home back from which you came
but I'm tired of this fight
a door that seems to shut before I reach my aim

I may try so hard
but end up thrown aside
Am I really just a piece of lard
Should i just lay out to get fried

This closing door
Is still open just a crack
So I must pick myself off the floor
before it shuts smack
