The Clearing

Location

In nature my mind feels clear,

When running water is near,

And some speaking birds I hear,

Because I am reminded

That I am never alone.

Hummingbird approaches glass,

Birds fly to trees from the grass,

Sacred songs as if at mass,

I am again reminded

That I am never alone.

Sitting turtle, flying dove,

Sent from below and above,

This place is not without love,

Once again I remember

That I am never alone.

Fallen pinecone without wings,

Red frogs love leaping on things,

Life for fish the water brings,

To remember this later,

I type it all on a phone.
