Class Clown

He’s the clown of the halls

He walks around,

joking with people, doing his best to see people smile because their smiles makes him feel accomplished

Like he actually did something good

When people smile, they have a second of happiness

And whether or not it was real, there was a moment

All we need is a moment

A moment to realize that maybe life doesn’t suck

Maybe life is a thing worth living

That maybe we really are all here for something

But some people can’t see that

So the clown, doing his best to get that moment, tries

He tries his hardest

And there are great moments where he gets it right

He sees the smiles and it warms his heart

But that doesn't always work

Not everyone smiles

Then the clown’s failed

His heart slows

The loud sounds of joy in his head grows silent

His body, weak

Nothing feels right

He searches for anyone

Just anyone

Anyone that needs that moment

If he can't give it, then he goes quiet

He then wipes off his clown makeup

He tries to show his real self

It’s hard for him

He shows his smes so much that it's physically impossible to make any other face

The only way he frowns is when he's alone rather than when he's with his motives in life

People

He loves people

They're his audience

He wants to put on a damn good show

But there are nights where he wants to go to those halls the next day and not be that clown

He wants to be confident enough to show people who he actually is as a person rather than just that kid people know only because he's silly and weird

Weird just shows your unique

Uniqueness is precious

It makes you original

But there are times where he wants to just be normal

Why can't he be normal?

When he jokes don't work, he does his best to comfort

But who wants some clown to try to see if they're okay?

Nobody...

So they push him away

Tell him no..

That he needs to leave them alone

Maybe it wasn't just the clown they were mad at

Maybe it was everyone

Or maybe it was just the clown

But all anyone can do is try

And that's all he does

He knows that not everyone wants to smile,

But he wants people to know that there is someone

Even when no one expects it to be him
