Clap

Thu, 11/13/2014 - 15:45 -- EAdkins

Location

everybody clap your hands

for liars, cheats, crooks.

everyone applaud

career politicians and

‘satisfaction guarantee or your money back’.

every soul bow down

to law makers, not rule breakers.

everybody clap your hands

for the ones holding keys to your

balls and chains.

slide to the left, slide to the right,

side whatever way they tell you.

one hop, two hop, three stomp, four stomp,

cha-cha your own way, but avoid

puppet strings as they twirl.

freeze, but dodge bullets

as they snag on fabric.

reverse, reverse, back up

over the bodies of ones who

couldn’t move fast enough.

But everybody clap your hands.
