Clair De Lune

Mon, 08/12/2019 - 01:27 -- A Finch

In my dream’s shoon

I sail for the moon

To reach her before the day.

And if luck may

I’ll catch her soon

Before nighttime swirls away.

I confess my love

To the lamp above,

And pray she feels the same.

If only that Dame

Did share my love

My heart would leave its frame.

Each night I dream dreams

Of those pearly moonbeams

Until the dawn breaks through.

Though sunlight gives a better view

The moon was made for dreams

To stir the soul in you.
