Cinderella

Cinderella

She stares at a mirror, disgusted with what she sees.

There are scars upon her body, and traces of harm she receives.

As she waits for her prince, to who will he be.

Will he shower her with lust, and show her sights to see.

Societies idea of love is all she will pursue, still knowing the pain, a boy will surely do.

For people have used her for her body, and has emptied her till there's nothing more.

She gave up her happiness, but all what for?

Oh Cinderella, don't spare your passion, nor dull the joy in your eyes.

Look beyond this vast night sky

He was never worth your time, for he stole your heart, committing the biggest of crimes.

All while you sulk in your pain, I have been standing  here in the pouring rain. I have been in your presence every second of the day,

Keeping you safe, and hoping for those 3 words you'll say.

Or have I gone unnoticed,

My gifts overlooked, my caring pushed away, and my love blinded to you.

For I am now questioning on what you will do.

Just when will you realize I am in love with you.
