Christmas Morning After-thoughts

Location

You are supposed to love your family.

Even when beer becomes more important than beloved ones,

Even when the holidays become hell,

Even when screaming overpowers sincerity,

You are supposed to love your family.

Although you are not given the choice of cousins,

Although you are stuck with your sister,

Although you cannot modify your mother,

You are supposed to love your family.

So, try to forget the fights,

So, learn to ignore the ignorance,

So, forgive their many mistakes,

Because you are supposed to love your family.
