Chills

My body is cold,

I tremble as each blow
Takes me lower

No matter how close the fire gets to my skin,
No matter how much sunshine I shoot into my veins,
I still feel this chill.
It leaves me numb
And in pain.

I feel nothing yet
I feel everything.

It's all there;
The nothingness,
The void
The hole.
The absence of
Everything.
